Weekend ramblings: the Garden Ideas Market

This weekend the Simondium Country Lodge hosted the charming Garden Ideas Market .

With spring around the corner, gorgeous weather predicted for the day and a chance to experience the magnificent views on offer, I was in!

The lodge comprises a collection of quaint old buildings, each of which housed a treasure trove of floral themed decor, deli and design items.

Abstract florals for the feminine form by Hugo Flear.

Samesyn’s images of fresh produce, printed on linen table cloths, aprons, tea towels and napkins.

An abundance of plants, plant stands and garden props to choose from.

And many other fabulous exhibitors, including Suikerbos Jewellery, The Secret Garden Vintage Emporium, Antjes Handmade Naturals and Two Magpies Artisanal Jewellery.

A comfortable 40 minute drive from Cape Town, the lodge also hosts the Vintage Ideas Market each autumn, and the Festive Ideas Market in spring – keep an eye on their Facebook page for details, definitely worth the visit.
